This magical staff radiates powerful energy. Wielded by the high clerics of Ilumna, it is their symbol of status and a powerful weapon against the world’s evils.
This staff can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff that grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it. While holding it, you gain a +2 bonus to Armor Class, saving throws, and spell attack rolls.
The staff has 20 charges for the following properties. The staff regains 2d8 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn.
Blinding Strike. When you hit with a melee attack using the staff, you can expend 1 charge to deal an extra 1d6 positive energy damage to the target. The target must make DC 17 Dexterity saving or be blinded for one round.
Daylight. You can expend one charge to cast a 9th-level daylight spell centered at the staff.
Light of Ilumna. You can expend up to 20 charges to cause an explosion of light and positive energy that expands to fill a 60-foot-radius sphere centered on the staff. The explosion deals 1d6 positive energy damage for each two charges used (up to 10d6). All creatures in a 120-foot-radius must make DC 17 Dexterity saving or be blinded for ten rounds.
